Since the days of the ancient Sumerians, there have been tales of vampires. They have been in removed books of the Bible in regard to Lillith and nephilim. They have been developed in most cultures throughout the world. Authors have written fantastic tales of the various versions of vampires. And now, we sit in the 21st century. Though the myths are alluring, it's time to set some of the records straight.

Considering some of the questions I have heard over the years, I have taken some liberty to answering some of the most popular. So with no further adieu:
Are vampires really undead?

No, though some might look that way. Vampires, in general, have a human body with a modification that requires the intake of energy in different forms and resource types.

Are vampires immortal?

Their human bodies die just like ordinary people.

Can they be killed by a stake to the heart?

I'd say yes, and it's probably painful. Remember, if you hunt us with a wooden stake, odds are we'd be upset and know that normal folks can die that way, too.

Is it true you can't see a vampire in the reflection of a mirror?

It's true only if they're not standing in front of it.

Are vampires repelled by garlic?

Only if they have no taste for Italian cuisine. Personally, garlic is great in pasta sauces, and it's wonderful for keeping mosquitos off of you.

Can you ward off vampires with holy water?

Yes, but only if they have an aversion to bathing. Using that train of thought, I can get rid of some folks in my neighborhood and at work.

Are vampires allergic to sunlight?

I think so, but my employer thinks otherwise. Honestly, a fair number of us have very photosensitive eyes and fair skin, but the sunlight might only cause melanoma, and that takes time.

Do vampires sleep in coffins?

I know a few who do, but I can image how that might curtail one's sexlife. I'll pass, thanks. I like room to play.

Are vampires demonic?

Most aren't. As a matter of fact, most vampires are spiritual and/ or philosophically minded. You might not see us in droves at church, but we're smart enough to know we are not the utmost power in the universe, and live our lives each day, just like you.
